Seriously minimalist tendencies of the spring/summer 08 series after the return of Collette Dinnigan

The first spring-summer series after Collette Dinnigan’s return was a bit disappointing. With the meticulous craftsmanship and the well-known fabric design, this series has achieved some continuation, but it lacks enough bright spots and fresh styles to become fatal in this release.

Small jackets with metallic fabrics are printed with colorful abstract swirls; similar to camouflage printed dresses, they are decorated with layers of flounces. The love for glitter metal fabrics has made Dinnigan's evening wear particularly appealing at night: crystal short dresses with cuffs and neckline, high-waist skirts with gold and silver embroidery, and gold-green pleated satin one-shoulder dresses. Works that are most likely to attract the attention of Hollywood actresses.

But in addition to other series, there is a serious minimalist tendency. The overly simple style (one-shoulder dress, which can be seen everywhere during Paris Fashion Week) obliterates the charm of Collette Dinnigan in detail. However, this female designer who is highly favored by Australian stars Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Cate Blanchett and other big stars should still win the exposure of his own clothing.
