Recently, the "27 Cup" — the first Chinese Pants Design Competition and the 2010 China Pants Design Trends Conference — took place in Zhengzhou. The event was attended by notable figures such as Jiang Hengjie, Executive Vice President of the China National Garment Association, Li Guosong, President of the Henan Garment Association, and Sun Jixian, Deputy Mayor of Zhengzhou. The competition focused on the theme of "New Life, Pant Fashion," aiming to promote innovation and creativity in pants design.
The judging panel consisted of renowned Chinese fashion designers, industry experts, authoritative critics, and key figures from the fashion sector. The grand prize included a cash award of 100,000 yuan, along with talent incentives provided by the Zhengzhou municipal government. Additionally, the winner would be granted free access to a 100-square-meter design studio located in the Erqi District Fashion Innovation Industrial Park.
The results of the competition are expected to be announced in mid-March next year. The event was jointly organized by several prominent institutions, including the China National Textile and Apparel Council, the China National Garment Association, the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, the Erqi District Government, the Zhengzhou Municipal Economic Commission, China Textile and Apparel Weekly, the magazine, the Henan Garment Industry Association, and the Zhengzhou Garment Industry Association.
This marks a significant step in promoting China’s apparel industry and highlighting the importance of pants design in modern fashion. It also serves as a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills and gain recognition on a national level.
